About the Business

The wood that we use is all cross bonded, which means that opposing grains are bonded together with three pieces of wood making up each section. This type of technology is widely used by those wishing to achieve an end product that will have very little movement, be that twisting or warping. All the wood is prepared to exacting standards, so that each piece of wood is after drying, pressure treated with anti fungal treatment before being machined to the size and shape required. After the wood is cut to size it is assembled glued and fixed, sanded to a smooth finish, before being primed, undercoated and top coated several times. When this is done and it has dried for a few days, it is lightly polished to finish.
