About the Business
Although a local family based Southend Company, Hometec UK had its roots in the "big world" of multi-nationals. It was founded in the spring of 1991, by the ex-national sales manager of Crittall Warmlife, the double glazing division of Crittall Windows. He brought to Hometec UK more than 20 years of experience in replacement windows, doors and conservatories, in particular with regard to marketing, manufacturing and customer relations. The founding body makeup of the Company was completed by his son and his son-in-law who each had many years experience in Crittall management and sales.
The Company became Limited in the autumn of 1992, and two years later the factory was expanded, when new hi-tech machinery was introduced, to further improve product quality and output. Hometec UK grew steadily over the next five years, consolidating its reputation for good honest advice to its customers, and very high quality products and service, all at a fair price.
